Human factors that drive smart city developments include social, economic, environmental, technological and political factors. In this session, we’ll focus on social factors such as population growth, urban migration, aging society, mobile working, household patterns, inequality, employment, community cohesion, and public health as well as education, individual safety, tourism and the global middle class. We’ll also discuss well-being, sustainable behaviors, digital lifestyles, housing, infectious diseases and entrepreneurship.

About the Speaker
Jim Frazer leads the Infrastructure and Smart Cities consulting team at ARC Advisory. Jim has authored many lighting, transportation and Smart City project specifications for end-users as well as national and international standards for the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), and the United States Department of Transportation.
