Singapore: Evolving a Smart Nation

Presented By: Bob Gill

Singapore’s Smart Nation initiative envisions a world-class city with a government that gives citizens the best home possible and responds to their different and changing needs, and a high performing economy powered by digital innovation. Key pillars that support Smart Nation are: Digital Economy, Digital Government and Digital Society. With the city-state recently judged to be the “smartest city in the world” (IMD Smart City Index, 2020), this webinar from ARC Advisory Group delves into Singapore’s Smart Nation strategies, goals and successes. It also details how building on the Smart Nation foundation, Singapore crafted a wide-ranging technological response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including robot dogs patrolling city parks to check safe distancing, wearable devices for rapid contact tracing, and a multitude of new government e-services.
