IEEE Smart City Pledge for Social Good
The IEEE Smart City to Pledge for Social Good is being developed. IEEE Smart Cities would like to partner with cities around the world and offer unbiased, credible technical support, and a structured framework they will be needed to honor this pledge, and meet their ambitious smart city goals for the good of their people.
IEEE Core and Affiliate Ciities Program
In 2014, IEEE Smart Cities implemented a Core & Affiliate Cities Program. Relationships with these cities was formed in an effort to create community which can share best practices, discuss technical topics and create a vibrant and worldwide grid of cities on the path to smartification. Through shared information, the program provides education, insights, and good practices, raising awareness of the many different approaches to become ‘smart’
The formal program of adopting IEEE Core and Affiliate Cities has been suspended but IEEE Smart Ciities leadership would like to maintain relationsships with these cities so e cross-organizational stakeholder efforts can be leveraged and all stakeholders can be engaged through collaboration, education and innovation to facilitate the development of more efficient, effective, and sustainable cities across the world.
