I'm excited to announce we are inviting submissions from municipalities worldwide to apply for funding and support from IEEE experts to host a workshop in their city before the end of this year. We will select two cities, already in the process of planning smart cities for their growing urban populations, from applications received by 31st August 2015.

 


 

2015 IEEE Smart Cities Call for Applications to Become an IEEE Core Smart City

Calling all municipalities! We are inviting applications from city planners worldwide to receive funding and support from IEEE experts to host a workshop in their city before the end of 2015. If you are already in the process of planning your smart city for growing urban populations and can demonstrate a comprehensive plan and funding for your evolution effort, you are eligible to apply for one of two places. We will select two cities from the applications we receive by the 31st August 2015 deadline.

 


 

First IEEE International Smart Cities Conference: Call for Short Papers and Presentation/Poster Abstracts

The First annual IEEE International Smart Cities Conference (ISC2-2015) is the premier conference sponsored by the IEEE Smart Cities Initiative. If you are interested to share your work at ISC2-2015, but have missed the full paper submission due date, here is your opportunity! We are soliciting submission of Short Papers and Presentation/Poster Abstracts conveying new developments in theory, analytics, numerical simulation and modeling, experimentation, advanced deployment and case studies, results of laboratory or field operational tests, and other related creative endeavors as well as special educational developments for smart city curricula. Please take this opportunity to make your contribution at ISC2-2015. The conference theme is Smart City for Sustainability.
